This book tackles some of the most controversial issues that constitute black economic empowerment (BEE) in South Africa. Published in 2010, it is a frank and critical observation of a topic that remains to this day hugely politically sensitive. 

It considers the policy, results and the lessons. It remains pertinent today, with BEE having veered far from its intended purpose and instead sustaining crony capitalism and corruption.
